Chris Fialko is a Connecticut Yankee in North Carolina courts. Since 1993, he has counseled and represented persons accused of crimes in state and federal courts throughout North Carolina. A veteran of numerous jury trials, including the four-month capital murder trial of former NFL player Rae Carruth, Fialko has battled for his clients in some of the most complex and noteworthy cases in Charlotte and throughout North Carolina.
Fialko primarily represents targets, subjects and witnesses in federal and North Carolina white collar crime investigations. In recent years, he has served as independent counsel for key executives and employees in corporate internal investigations. Fialko also continues to represent persons accused of “blue collar” crimes, including drug conspiracy, firearms cases, and assaults.
The legal community has recognized Fialko’s expertise in the field of criminal law by voting to include him in the Best Lawyers of America; the Legal Elite in Business North Carolina Magazine; and as a Super Lawyer in Charlotte Magazine’s survey.
