Representing people charged with homicide, often with a potential death sentence, is an awesome responsibility, a responsibility which we undertake with the utmost seriousness and dedication. While it is not always possible to win these cases, it is always necessary to be completely prepared and to represent our clients fearlessly and zealously during the trial. That is what we do.
We have represented a wide range of people charged with homicide, including a prominent NFL player, a well-known author, a doctor, a businessman, and many others. Some have been found not guilty of all charges, some were found guilty only on much less serious charges. In over 30 years of trying such cases in North Carolina, only one has been convicted of first degree murder. We continue to believe he is innocent. But regardless of the results, all of our clients know this: we are prepared, we care, and we fight for our clients with everything we have.
